Finally on Wednesday summer school will come to an end and Ashley and I will be leaving for our vacation. We're headed to Tennessee!!!
I had a dental visit today and WAAAH it hurt. I had two thirty year old silver fillings that had to be replaced and apparently he had to drill a little further down (like to China) before he replaced them. Steve assured me that he had that done and was in and out in 15 minutes. Either he has much smaller fillings or that was just a big fat story because I was there for over an hour. The dental hygienst sprayed me in the face every time she rinsed my mouth. I asked if that was part of the procedure and just an added perk. The dentist thought it was funny, the assistant did not, which just proves she has poor aim and no sense of humor. Being the super cool dentist that he is I got to watch t.v. while he worked. I was thrilled to see CNN covering Hillary Clinton's cleavage. See that's why we can't have a woman president.....all that nonsense. Plus we don't need to mix PMS and WMD. That just ain't right.
Also, if we elect a woman president who will we blame for all the mess and choas?
I am looking forward to spending time with Taylor bug , my niece and will have many funny stories to tell when I return. You can't mix my redneck relatives and all that humidity and not get at least one good story out of it.
Wish me luck~~~

Forgot to water my money tree!!!
Why is it that I always forget how expensive it is to exist with two children in the summer? Those movie people don't help they come out with a different movie every week and by the time you add the popcorn and drinks you could have made a house payment. I do confess that most of the time we do redneck snacks at the theatre. I stop at 7-11 and fill my big purse with drinks and candy and then we buy a big popcorn and share it. How do you get your kids to share you ask? Why, I pull ziploc bags out of the big purse and ration. Michael is the hardest to please. He thinks a boy in social motion should remain in motion until he has completely drained his parents bank account. He is trying to break me by purchasing frozen cokes every day. He really should have been born into a 7-11 owning family.
Ashley doesn't need the day to day financing but does however want a $300.00 cell phone called the EnV from Verizon. I have refrained from my " that cost more than my first car lecture" because Steve says it is getting old and nobody believes it. But for those of you that know Woody (my dad) you are sure to back up my story. The big problem with the 300.00 phone is that it is used primarily for texting. I don't understand the texting which makes it hard for me to spy on my teenager and it is expensive which makes it hard to stay married to my husband. As you can see this not yet purchased phone is already causing me much anxiety. I told her she would have to save up for it and she has begun to put a price tag on everything. I hope I don't need her to perform cpr because I'm sure as I lay gasping for breath she would be negotiating her fee. The other day I needed cash to send with Michael to the movies and I borrowed $20.00 from her before the mom came to pick Michael up. She informed me that she would charging me 10% interest if she wasn't paid back by the end of the day. Can you believe my own daughter is charging me "juice" on my loan? The trauma of being a mama never ends.

The summer both my kids wanted to get to first base!!!!
Well, apparently I am as good at blogging as I am at journaling. I must do better!! Last post we were headed to Oxford and we came in third. It was a very emotional time for everyone and most of us (those that will let me disclose) cried on the way home. Those players and families had become our families over the past two months and when we all realized it was over it was very sad indeed. As usual, we drowned our sorrows in french fries and cokes! Who needs therapy when you have hot salty fries delivered to your car window?
After the baseball breakdown I was dealt another harsh blow. My baby girl is talking to BOYS!! Upon hearing this distressing news I ran straight to my scrapbook buddies for solace. I wanted to hear that she was way too young and that I should lock her in her room. All I heard was "Isn't she fourteen?" and "I got my first kiss at fourteen...blah, blah..." Are these people my friends? Didn't they know that I was not at all prepared to deal with reality? Don't they see how emotional frail I am? I guess not!! I am SO not ready to let go of my little girl to the harsh and cold world of relationships. I am 42 and I still haven't figured them out. So much like algebra and text messaging I feel unprepared to help her. UGH!!
Ashley and I are preparing to head to TENNESSEE this weekend to see the family. This will be our week to sing along with the soundtrack of Hairspray and be free of the boys. Michael and Steve will be staying behind and and Michael will be playing in the Gus Macker three on three tournament. They will meet us in Seymour after their victory!! As soon as I master it I will add pictures!

Game Day
Here we are on our last Friday of travel ball. We are headed to Oxford for the weekend and hoping to come back in the words of Michael "with a big fat trophy". I am really going to miss all the people we have met and watching Micheal play. I will not miss traveling every weekend and the extra laundry. As soon as Ms. Ashley finishes summer school on the 31st. I am getting the H....
out of Dodge and heading to Tennessee. I love my family but you know what they say about too much of a good thing....
I will post the Oxford results as soon as we are done!!!

I'm blogging...you're all in trouble now.
Welcome to my crazy life. I will be sharing REAL stories, not the"my life is so perfect stuff"so be ready.
Ashley is going to summer school and Michael is playing baseball -all the time. Travel baseball translates into more laundry and me huddled under an umbrella covered in sunscreen biting my nails. They are very serious about this baseball stuff. No more of this "run quick like a little bunny" stuff. UGH!! They grow up too quickly.
Tara is going to make pitiful fun of me for blogging so get ready to learn juicy tidbits about her until she stops.
Thanks to my creative and wonderful friend, Jen for helping me become a blogger.
